Next Parish Council Meeting - will be held on Monday 5 March 2012 at 7pm in Newington Village Hall.  All parishioners are welcome to attend.  The main items on the agenda are expected to be the draft end of year accounts and progress on the proposed Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Park.

At the meeting on Monday 16 January, the Council agreed its precept at £4,000 for the next year commencing in April 2012.  This year's (2011/12) precept was £3,800 but, in the meantime, the Parish Council has paid over £500 for a contested Parish election in June 2011.  The Parish Council also agreed some of the detail of the proposed Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Park to be sited in the playing field.
